Captain Marvel 2 has officially found its writer with Megan McDonnell, a writer on the upcoming WandaVision series on Disney+. The sequel will also leave the '90s behind and take place in the present, so expect to see Carol Danvers and her short hair return and fight some bad guys. There isn't a director attached yet, but Marvel is looking for a female director and the sequel is expected to release sometime in 2022.
