A pregnancy isn't easy for anyone. But for a celebrity, with a camera in her face wherever she goes, it's got to be even harder. Which is why so many of them opt to keep their pregnancies a secret until after they deliver. But how on earth can do they pull it off?

Cameron Diaz came out of nowhere and announced that, at 47, she's a new mom. The child's name is Raddix and the dad is Benji Madden, the guitarist from Good Charlotte. Diaz has been relatively quiet this year, only posting on social media a handful of times, which is how some people are explaining the fact that her pregnancy flew completely under the radar. Others are pointing to the fact that, as a 47-year-old, she probably wasn't pregnant at all and probably had her daughter with the help of a surrogate.

Nicole Kidman did the same thing with her country-pop husband Keith Urban, back in 2011, opting for a gestational carrier to lighten the load and to keep things under wraps. But some other celebrities have used more traditional methods, like Megan Fox. When she was pregnant in 2015, she knew that she wouldn't get a break from the paparazzi. So she wore some kinds baggy shirts, carried bags in front of her and started lugging around giant books that were big enough to cover the evidence of her future child. Fox was worried that her kids, if they were raised as little celebrities, would suffer the same fate as her kids and be turned into "cartoon characters" for the media.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds had the same worry. They both grew up "normal," or at least not famous, and they worried that raising their kids in the public eye would deprive them of one of the joys of childhood. All three of Lively's pregnancies happened, for the most part, in total secrecy, and the names of the kids went unknown for months after their births.
