Thanks to Bram Stoker’s novel “Dracula,” the world has an interesting fascination with vampires. But, did you know that vampires were around for centuries before Bram even thought about writing about them? In this video, we are going to explore all the Dracula theories and folklore surround vampires. This is: The Real Story Behind Dracula and Vampires.

Historians have long theorized about how Bram Stoker came up with his infamous “Count Dracula” character. Many believe he was inspired by a 15th-century ruler who had an unusual way of disposing of his enemies. They share many similarities, including their love for battle against the Turks. On the other hand, no one is quite sure Bram Stoker even knew the story of this historic ruler, but we are going to give you a peek at what historians think happened.

We are also going to explore a little of vampire folklore from all over Europe. From how the Italians prevented loved ones from turning into vampires to what Germans thought their version of vampires were capable of. Both of which make a surprising appearance in 19th century New England where they came up with their own way to get rid of vampires. We are also going to show an interesting connection between vampires and plague outbreaks.
