After escaping the second World Trade Center tower that was hit on September 11, Tang left his corporate finance job to run his uncle's historic dim sum restaurant against his parents' wishes. From there, Tang opened up a new modern Chinese restaurant that incorporates the hidden culinary gems of New York's Chinatown.
