The release of the Venom 2 teaser video got us thinking. What if Venom Let There Be Carnage is actually setting up a secret bonus villain?
The Tom Hardy Marvel movie, Venom 2, has been delayed, so we won't get to see the on-screen Eddie Brock finally clash with Carnage until 2021. However, the 'Let There Be Carnage' title could imply Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson), might not be the big bad in Venom 2 after all.
This video won't be a Venom 2 explained video. Instead, we'll focus on a potential Venom foe for future sequels.
If you're a fan of Marvel comics, then you're probably aware of the God of the Symbiotes and creator of the Venom symbiote, Knull. We believe he could be the secret villain the Venom Let There Be Carnage teaser video is hinting at. Knull was created by Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman and first appeared in Venom #3 back in August 2018. Since then, he's also had ties to other comic books including Thor and Guardians of the Galaxy, and it's the plot lines in those superhero comics that could potentially even lay the groundwork for Venom's inclusion into the MCU.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe can be tricky to understand- especially since multiple studios make Marvel movies. And with rumors surrounding whether or not a certain web-slinger will make a cameo in Sony superhero movies like Morbius and Venom 2. Spider-man could very well come in contact with the on-screen Venom symbiote for the first time since Spider-Man 3 in 2007.
While we're anxiously anticipating a Venom Let there Be Carnage trailer, we're getting ahead of ourselves. Without a Venom 2 trailer, this is all just fun speculation. We're definitely excited to see our two favorite symbiotes finally clash in Venom 2. Carnage is hopefully just a harbinger of a bigger universe for Venom 3.
