Being a healthcare worker is a difficult job under the best of circumstances, but because of the coronavirus pandemic there are even more strict rules they have to follow. We're all doing our best to practice social distancing, but many nurses have had to cope with a total overhaul of hospital procedure. Some patients are actually stealing supplies that are desperately needed, and something as seemingly mundane as dry skin can actually be a huge problem. Working in a nursing home has some employees seriously worried about their patient's mental health, and they also have to cope with a certain amount of social stigma in their own lives. Even everyday challenges like finding childcare and taking public transportation to work can seem insurmountable when dealing with Covid 19. Many hospitals are performing visitor checks and offering increased security, but these preventative measures can be difficult to implement. Instead of stocking up on hand sanitizer and toilet paper, these employees are being forced to isolate themselves from their families and in many cases their own homes! And while they're working long hours, they're also having to deal with extremely limited resources which could jeopardize their ability to provide care.
