Zoo animals are far smarter than we give them credit for. They can break thick glass, trick zoo workers, create cunning distractions, and subtly sneak out of their enclosures when nobody's watching.

If the creature is dangerous, like the egyptian cobra that got out from the Bronx Zoo, then panic spreads through the local population like wildfire. If the beast falls in the harmless and cute category instead, like the red panda that ran away from its Washington home, then the world watches on with intrigue and anticipation.

Either way, when dealing with animals, you never know what they'll do when they escape. Sometimes, as you'll soon see, it's not just one attempt either (we're looking at you, Ken Allen the orangutan)
