Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige almost left the MCU over the lack of diversity in its heroes. Mark Ruffalo revealed he had a conversation with Feige during the filming of The Avengers, where Feige admitted he was going to push for more diverse characters, and may threaten to leave if Marvel chairman Ike Perlmutter didn't agree.
