Looking for a show to binge-watch? Then look no further! TLC’s 90 Day Fiance has all the juicy drama you’ve come to expect from multicultural relationships. The documentary series follows couples who want to get married. But it’s not always a fairy tale happy ending for everyone involved. One cast member is American. The other is from a foreign country and if they want to make things work, they have to get married before they’re forced to leave the country. Under a K-1 visa, the lovebirds only have 90 days to get hitched before the visa expires and their non-American partner has to take a hike.
That doesn’t give them a whole lot of time to work out any personality conflicts that may develop along the way. Most couples spend years getting to know each other and planning the perfect wedding. But the couples on this show only get three lousy months.
Trying to figure out whether or not you want to marry someone in such a short timeframe sounds nuts. But the show has managed to captivate thousands of viewers since the series premiered in 2014. Culture shock, legal issues, and money problems are just some of the things the contestants have had to put up with on this show. But there are some pretty strict rules that the cast must adhere to if they want to stay on the show, and that’s something every contestant has had to face, including the couple from the show’s seventh season.
