It seems like a little bit of movie magic can accomplish anything, and it can even make people look like they've celebrated fewer birthdays. We're going to be talking about actors who were too old to be cast as the roles they ended up with. Joe Keery reinvented the character of Steve on Stranger Things but he's also way older than he should be. Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington starred in Game of Thrones despite the discrepancies between their years and their characters. On Riverdale, Charles Melton and Cole Sprouse are much too old to still be in school. Jennifer Lawrence usually pretends to be at a more advanced age and it almost cost her the role of Katniss in The Hunger Games! Ross Butler and Christian Navarro were in 13 Reasons Why and they were also some of the oldest kids in school. Rachel McAdams was desperate to be a part of Mean Girls even if she wasn't quite at the right stage in life. Some stars like Matt Damon and Robert Downey Jr. took things to the next level when they portrayed teenage characters. And although you might not have realized it, Shirley Henderson was senior to Moaning Myrtle by over twenty years!
