On 28th March 2017, 15 activists broke into Stansted Airport and chained themselves to a plane to stop a deportation flight. The flight was chartered by the Home Office and was due to deport 57 people in the dead of the night. Thanks to the protestors, several people on the flight were able to appeal their deportation and stay in the country. However, their actions have led to them being charged with endangering an aerodrome, a charge that carries a life sentence. We've been following some of the protestors to see what made them take such drastic actions and risk their own lives to save the lives of strangers.
