The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World is a list of remarkable constructions from ancient times. However, only one of the seven landmarks on it still stands today, making the list seem kind of outdated for our modern world. So, in 2007, a new list was created to reflect the seven wonders of the world that can still be visited today. Over 100 million people voted online, and the Seven New Wonders of the World are: the Great Wall of China, the city of Petra in Jordan, the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, Machu Picchu in Peru, Mexico's Chichen Itza, the Colosseum in Rome, and India's Taj Mahal. The Great Pyramid of Giza was also given honorary status, as it's on the original Seven Wonders list. But which landmark deserves to be the eighth Wonder of the World? We'll look into the significance of five landmarks from around the world in this video, which all deserve to be number eight in their own right.
