No matter what else is going on in the world, you can bet that North Korea is always one of the main stories in the news. More recently the story devolved into a back and forth between Kim Jong-Un and US President Donald Trump. In February, the focus was on the North Korea athletes and cheer squad that were invited to the Olympics. Who knows what will be next? The fact of the matter is, despite so many unanswered questions about the Hermit Kingdom, we do know some key things about life there. Notably, the country still makes use of some pretty ancient, yet effective propaganda techniques. That’s right. Coming straight out of 1930s Soviet Russia, North Korea’s methods of indoctrinating and “convincing” its people of certain things is crude – but apparently effective. As you’ll see, it can be absolutely hilarious and insane how everything from the country’s history to its enemies to its leaders are portrayed.
