The world has a slight obsession with zombies these days. Thanks to movies like “Night of the Living Dead” and TV shows like “The Walking Dead,” we think we know all there is to know about these brain dead flesh eaters. But, did you know that these scary ghouls have ties that date back to Christopher Columbus? Prepare to be amazed as we reveal: The Real Story Behind Zombies.

The thought to the unliving harming the living has been around for thousands of years. Back in ancient Europe, people were buried with stones on their bodies, just to assure the living that their loved ones wouldn’t come back to wreak havoc on them. Interestingly enough, this practice has nothing to do with the zombies we are familiar with these days. In fact, the real story behind zombies is much more somber.
