Since 1959, the Barbie doll has been one of the most popular toys in the world. Throughout the years, the doll has come in various forms, and she has held over 150 different careers. Although many kids look up to the iconic doll, Mattel hasn’t always designed her in a way that can be seen as inspirational. In fact, throughout the years they have made some terrible mistakes with the doll that caused a lot of outrage. From a pregnant doll to an Amy Winehouse version created by an artist, we’ll show you some of the most controversial dolls ever made. This is 10 Most Inappropriate Barbies EVER.

Aside from her love for holding down a job, Barbie is an animal lover, too. In 2006, Mattel created a Barbie that came with a dog, Tanner, and a pooper scooper to clean up his waste. Talk about inappropriate! But if you think that’s bad, just wait until you see the Black Canary Barbie that was designed after the risqué DC comic book character and the Sun Gold Malibu doll that was sporting the worst tan we’ve ever seen.

Then, there was Wash & Watch Barbie that catered to outdated gender roles, and a doll inspired by the Alfred Hitchcock movie “The Birds.” Let’s just say - if you were horrified after watching this scary film, you’ll be even more terrified once you see this doll. You’ll have to see this one to believe it!
