In layman’s terms, we can use movies to escape the harsh reality of our world. That is probably why the movie industry has been so successful for the last century. If society didn’t like them, we wouldn’t keep watching! While we enjoy movies, there are people who watch them for more than just entertainment. With movies, we are able to experience crazy things that we might never see in real life, so we live vicariously through them. This is why sometimes we will watch movies over and over again to relive that experience, picture ourselves in the characters, and even try to emulate that moment in the movie. Luckily, film makers know that people want to see something weird and unusual, so they continue to give us juicy tidbits that will make us want to hit “pause” over and over again. It’s quite entertaining in a different way, and if we’re the first person to find that Easter egg, then we’re the coolest kid on the block!
