While we would like to think that we are squeaky clean every time we step out of the shower, in reality, we still play host to millions of tiny organisms that survive from our oils, skin cells, and blood, reproduce on our skin, and create a civilization that we can’t even see with our naked eye. Every human body on this earth is a walking ecosystem playing host to parasites and bacteria. In our belly button alone, there are thousands of different types of bacteria. Sometimes these parasites can be treated. Sometimes, they are so subtle and stealth that we don’t even know they are there, until now.
In this video are ten creatures living on and in your body. The scary thing is that we still have yet to discover and identify every single living organism that calls our body home. So next time you feel that tickle on your skin, or feel like something is crawling on you, perhaps there really is something there and you just can’t see it! The crazy thing about it is that when you’re touching your skin, you’re actually touching bacteria and parasites that create a barrier in between your skin and anything it comes into contact with.
